Wittmann elected chairman, Bohling named vice chair of Nemaha County Board of Equalization

At its Jan. 9 organizational meeting the Nemaha County Board of Equalization elected Commissioner Dennis Wittmann chair and Marvin Bohling vice chair for 2013 and approved routine minutes and tax-list corrections.
The Nemaha County Board of Equalization opened its 2013 session on Jan. 9 and elected Dennis Wittmann chairman and Marvin Bohling vice chairman for the year. County Clerk Joyce Oakley called the roll and the board approved the meeting agenda before taking nominations; Bohling nominated Wittmann and Hutton nominated Bohling for vice chair.
The board also approved the Dec. 11, 2012 minutes and several tax-list corrections presented by County Assessor Jana Smith. For example, the board approved a personal-property correction for Brian Moody adding $2,260.92 in tax and granted clerical corrections for Dennis and Rene Meyer (added $74.64) and a corresponding deduction for Judy Koch and Dennis Meyer ($74.64). "Motion by Bohling, seconded by Hutton to approve the agenda as presented," the minutes record as the board moved through routine organization.
The board conducted its organizational business before adjourning at 11:50 a.m. The county clerk’s certified minutes are available at the Nemaha County Clerk’s office.
