The City Council approved a contract award with B&B Site Development, Inc. to begin Phase I roadway work in the Park Street Commerce Center, not to exceed $677,326. Council Member Noel A. Chandler moved the award and Council Member Robert "Bob" Jarriel seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The contract award follows council discussion of related development items. During the same meeting the council requested staff provide comparative maintenance-cost information from other municipalities for an unrelated dog park proposal; that dog park motion was later withdrawn so staff could gather more data. The Park Street award is recorded in the minutes as a formal contract authorization and staff will oversee implementation with the contractor.
