Vernonia board endorses Michelle Graham for NWRESD Zone 4 seat

At the May 8 meeting the Vernonia School District Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Michelle Graham of Scappoose for the NWRESD (Northwest Regional Education Service District) Zone 4 vacancy.
Superintendent Jim Helmen reminded the board that district policy BBE requires the district to endorse candidates for the ESD board; only one candidate was presented for Zone 4. Joanie Jones moved to endorse Michelle Graham to fill the Zone 4 vacancy from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029; Javoss McGuire seconded. The motion passed unanimously with those in attendance.
The endorsement will be transmitted to NWRESD as the district's official recommendation for Zone 4 representation. No alternate candidates were presented during the meeting.
