Veneta council authorizes $1.693M state grant agreement for wastewater lagoon project

Councilors raised no questions and voted 4-0 to authorize the City Administrator to sign the grant agreement on the city's behalf. Michel said he had coordinated contract elements with Public Works Director Kyle Schauer and City Accountant Myers to ensure terms were ready for signature.
The authorization allows staff to move forward with grant execution and apply the funds for wetland mitigation credits supporting the lagoon expansion. Staff did not describe additional contingencies or a project timeline during the special session; the authorization was limited to entering the grant agreement.
