At its Jan. 20 meeting the Alliance City Council approved its Consent Calendar, including payroll of $272,893.19 and claims totaling $515,070.17. Councilman Yates moved the motion to approve the calendar; Councilman Turman seconded and the measure passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The consent item included Resolution No. 26-02, approving a Service Agreement between the City of Alliance and the Aging Office of Western Nebraska, Resolution No. 26-04 adopting the Title VI Non-Discrimination Plan for the city’s public transit program, and Resolution No. 26-05 approving the updated Alliance Public Transit ADA Compliance Manual. City staff noted that "Interim City Manager(s) Shoemaker and Brown and Finance Director Baker have reviewed these expenditures and to the best of their knowledge confirm that they are within budgeted appropriations to this point in the fiscal year." Resolution No. 26-03 (updated Public Passenger Handbook) remained tabled pending a required public hearing.
