Superintendent Clint presented a five-goal plan for the coming year focused on communication, professional development, instructional quality, community engagement and organizational management.
He said he will "block out time in my calendar to make sure that I have dedicated time to get out into those buildings on a biweekly basis" and described plans for biweekly district updates by email, monthly meetings with bargaining representatives, and in-person school visits. The plan includes targeted PD and mentoring for administrators, quarterly leadership sessions, and use of the ELLiOTT walkthrough tool to measure student engagement rather than only teacher behaviors.
Clint also said the district will use an ESL grant to fund multiyear professional development, emphasize vertical alignment between intermediate and high school coursework, and consider ways to provide teacher release time for peer observations. He identified improved workflows through Frontline Central, a staffing review and a district-wide feedback process as part of a push to strengthen accountability.
