The board moved on March 3 to approve a plan of action that authorizes up to $25,000 to complete landscaping and sprinkler work tied to the Fair and Library project and to consult with Rose Wallen and the USU Extension office on design and installation.
Chair Warwood read the motion to authorize consultation with Rose Wallen and the extension office and to solicit bids from licensed contractors if needed. The board discussed holding some of the landscaping work for the right season but agreed to authorize staff to seek quotes and proceed up to the authorized amount. The motion passed on roll call.
Staff said the plan anticipates using Master Gardener volunteers for installation when appropriate, and that staff will report back with firm bids and a recommended contractor if outside procurement is necessary.
