LBA tables three capital funding items pending public hearing to reopen budget

Board member Jensen moved to table agenda items 3 (SAR building), 4 (Fair and Library landscaping and ADA compliance), and 5 (large-scale weigh station at the Farrin Agricultural Center) so the board could hold a special public hearing and consider adding funds to the 2026 budget. The board approved tabling those items and agreed to schedule a special meeting and public hearing to reopen the budget.
The board directed staff to advertise the hearing and to estimate how much additional funding would be needed if the board decides to move forward on any of the tabled projects. The plan preserves the current $50,000 that is available now and defers larger allocations until the public hearing and budget amendment are completed.
