Staff described five finish items and cost estimates: shelving for the kitchen ($1,360), custom covers for hot/cold serving wells ($414), additional soundproofing ($13,400), a modest threshold adjustment (cost not yet estimated), and a front entrance concrete ramp to meet ADA slope requirements (estimated $7,432). "The cost for that is $7,432," a county staff member said when describing the ramp; staff added a handrail would improve safety but would increase cost by roughly $3,000.
Board members discussed using available LBA funds for the most pressing items now and holding a special meeting to consider additional allocations for other projects. Jensen noted the motion included seeking reimbursement: the board intends to use LBA funds to complete the requested changes and provide invoices to the project contact for reimbursement. The motion to allocate up to $25,000 was seconded and approved by roll call.
Next steps: staff will solicit quotes for items without firm pricing and coordinate reimbursement steps with the contact named in the discussion. The board also agreed to consolidate remaining funding decisions at a later special meeting and public hearing to reopen the 2026 budget.
