Sister Cities announces student visit from Japanese sister city in late July

Jessica Begonia presented on behalf of Lima Sister Cities, announcing that four students (ages 13–15) and three adult chaperones from Lima’s sister city in Japan will visit July 27 through August 2. Begonia said the delegation will visit the Lima Municipal Building on Wednesday, July 29 at 10 a.m. and will also appear at the mayor’s media briefing and visit downtown shops and the Lima Community Aquatic Park.
Begonia requested additional host families and at least one additional adult chaperone; she suggested interested residents contact Matt Nealy at limasistercities@gmail.com. The announcement included logistics for public events and a thank-you to community volunteers helping coordinate the cultural exchange.
