Walker outlined near‑term projects: an urban orchard supported by Stratton's Greenhouse and an on‑site playground sponsored by local partners; he said the group hopes to expand current raised beds from 16 to about 25 and estimated 25–35 apple, pear and other fruit trees for the orchard. Councilors praised the progress and offered volunteer support for maintenance and programming.
Walker also highlighted hands‑on programming with Central State University Extension on soil health, composting and food preservation that he said improve food security and community wellness.
