Art Space Apollo’s proposal for a downtown interactive photo installation — called "I Am Lima" — drew positive reactions from councilors and the mayor. Sally Windle described mockups for large letters (approximately six feet tall) that people can climb on and use as a community-painted, legacy art piece; she said fabrication will be done by Apollo welding and that students and community members will be invited to help paint designs.
Windle said the project has two grants from Visit Greater Lima: one to help implement letters and designs and one for installation in the square. She noted the item must still clear the Engineering Department and Board of Design before installation. Councilors praised the idea for creating a visible downtown photo opportunity that can attract visitors and local pride.
