He offered to work with Lima Police Department and said classes are scheduled for May 18.
Harmon emphasized that de‑escalation training and crisis intervention improve outcomes but are not guaranteed to prevent every tragic outcome; he described the program as a collaborative effort to build community trust, reduce stigma and educate first responders. Council members thanked Harmon and noted interest in exploring collaboration with local agencies.
