Administrator reports post-flood cleanup, Essex Road work and street-sweeping schedule

Mr. Them also said ASE will begin construction on the Essex Road access next week and provided the street-sweeping schedule (May 1, July 1, and the second week in September). The Streets & Sidewalks committee announced a bid opening for annual paving on May 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Village Hall.
Council members raised operational questions: Kim Little asked whether notices have been sent to property owners about overgrown yards (Administrator Them said he is waiting for dry weather); Keith Bacin reported electrical arcing at a main service line near Kell Hardware and asked whether the village or AEP is responsible for trimming a nearby tree (Mr. Them said he will research). The Council also discussed potential downstream impacts of clearing debris from the Clear Fork River and ongoing emergency culvert work.
