Mayor Bob Jarvis used the administrative report to list upcoming community events and operational items: a drug take‑back day Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the village‑hall back lot; a Halloween Walk on Oct. 25, noon to 4 p.m.; and Trick‑or‑Treat on Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. He also said one police cruiser sold at auction for $4,000 and the other will be relisted later this month.
Jarvis reminded candidates on election season sign rules and announced a public meeting on Oct. 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. regarding a proposed connector road at Hanley Road; adjacent property owners had been notified. No council votes were taken on these items at the meeting.
