Council awards $41,000 storm drain repair contract and $22,000 annual sweeping contract

On a separate motion Councilman Bacin moved to enter a 2026 contract with Sweeping Corp of America for annual street sweeping at a cost of $22,000; that motion, also seconded by Kim Little, carried 6–0. Administrator Peter Them said the street department is recruiting to reach planned staffing levels and noted a current shortage in Water/Sewer (seeking a Class III operator), which could affect scheduling for public-works work and seasonal tasks.
