McKinney ISD honors staff and students at March 23 board meeting

The district also presented "Every Student, Every Day" awards to students nominated by their principals (examples on record include fifth-graders Cedric Minor and Jacob Soto), honored CTE students advancing to national competition through TAFE, and recognized swim and wrestling student-athletes who qualified for state competition. Assistant athletic director Colby Peak named individual achievements such as Hudson Phillips’ district and regional championships and Courtney Cusack’s state titles.
Ending: The recognitions concluded with applause and calls for parents and campus leaders to stand; no board action was required for the recognitions.
