Dominic Robles moved and Bill Shrader seconded a motion to approve the administration’s recommendations concerning instructional personnel pertaining to Cassie Boyd; Tyler McAfee recused from that vote. The motion passed with five ayes — Alford, Phillips, Robles, Shrader and Williams — and no nays. The board also approved additional personnel recommendations and Non-Chapter 21 personnel renewals in subsequent motions, each carrying unanimously when voted by the full board (6-0 when all members participated).
Board minutes note the closed session began at 5:46 p.m.; board secretary Dana Dworaczyk left the meeting at 6:15 p.m. before reconvening. No action was taken at the meeting on a separate agenda item described as “roles and responsibilities of the Superintendent.”
