The Planning and Zoning Commission voted to close the public hearing and approve a rezoning request to PD (plan development) for a roughly 136‑acre tract east of the Honey Creek master plan, a project the applicant said is now part of the Wildwood master plan. Staff recommended approval, saying the proposed single‑family residential product types are compatible with the comprehensive plan.
Levi Wilde of Wilde Land Development Consulting told commissioners the project will be served by an extension of Lot Howe Parkway from Trinity Falls Parkway to Lake Forest — a roughly 3.8‑mile segment that will provide frontage for the tract. Wilde said the developer anticipates 500–600 home sites, estimating the plan is in the neighborhood of 540 lots, with an amenity center included in the first phase. He also said the mapped floodplain will be left natural. The commission recorded a unanimous vote to approve and forward the rezoning to city council for final action on Sept. 2, 2025.
