MISD outlines facilities plan to repurpose three campuses for student support, operations

Greg Bridal, McKinney ISD chief operations officer, presented the district’s 2026–27 facilities plan describing three repurposing projects. Bridal said one campus will become the Edens Student Support and Professional Learning Center and house special-population administration and the McKinney Educational Foundation; a second will be converted to the Earl and Lottie Wolford Student Support and Professional Learning Center to house Club360 administration and Aramark custodial services; and the Arthur McNeil Learning Academy will house district safety and security, alternative educational placement, food service functions and counseling services.
Board members asked for clarification that no additional school closures were being proposed; Bridal confirmed the plan is to relocate programs into available space and that the board would be consulted and give approval before any campus closures or further repurposing beyond what was presented. Trustees indicated support for the program moves and asked staff to return with details and timelines when available.
