Public hearing held on annexation and PD zoning for 57 acres in Sienna Management District

At the March 11 meeting staff opened a public hearing on a proposed Planned Development (PD) zoning for roughly 57 acres in the Sienna Management District that the city annexed on Dec. 1, 2025.
The presenter described three existing multifamily developments and two commercial centers within the annexed area. Staff said they sent notices to property owners within 250 feet of the annexed area, posted on-site signage and, as of the meeting, had received one protest letter. Staff said a second public hearing will be joint with City Council on Monday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m.
No formal recommendation was presented at this hearing beyond a staff briefing; the commission limited tonight’s role to receiving public comment and gathering feedback for the April agenda.
