The presenter told council managers negotiated pricing could be extended for up to four additional years and that the board sought endorsement of a contract "in the amount not to exceed $810,000" if the district continues the service beyond the pilot. The briefing also outlined a request that member jurisdictions consider a resolution supporting a statewide wireless 9‑1‑1 service fee adjustment to create a sustainable funding model for Next Generation 9‑1‑1.
Council asked that staff bring the district resolution to a future council agenda for formal consideration and possible adoption so the city can join a regionally coordinated approach to Next Generation 9‑1‑1 funding and implementation.
