Commission reviews recent council cases and approves routine consent items
Summary

Early in the meeting Marion Spencer, assistant director of planning, reviewed cases the City Council considered in the prior month, including Rancho Lago (rezoned to PD-187 with sidewalk and fencing conditions), Crestview QT PD amendment (approved with revised elevations), denials of two group-home SUPs including the Star Wash location, denial of the Bridgewater expansion rezoning (5-2), and approval of Encore (Z072026012).
The commission then considered its consent agenda, which included minutes from 04/21/2026 and multiple plat and extension requests. Commissioner Altman moved to approve the consent agenda, Commissioner McDonald seconded, and the commission passed the consent items 6-0. A request for a one-year extension for the preliminary plat for South 9th Street residential development and other plat final approvals were handled as part of consent motions. An item to continue a PD site plan to 06/16/2026 also passed 6-0.
