The Midland City Council approved two specific-use designations that allow on-premises alcohol sales at restaurants. Staff said the first request would enable an existing restaurant at 1809 Big Spring Street to begin selling alcohol Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to midnight. The second request allows the restaurant Tacos Way to serve alcohol at its new location with hours that match the operation schedule described by staff.
Planning staff confirmed zoning permits the use, no objections were received during public notice, and both SUDs were recommended for approval; council voted to approve each item unanimously.
