The Middletown Board of Supervisors voted 5–0 to authorize an employment agreement with Christopher Hoffman as the township’s next manager. Interim manager Thioli Coles summarized the recruitment: 18 qualified applicants, a consultant‑assisted screening, three finalists, extensive staff input and unanimous board selection. "The board was unanimous in the person that they selected and I'm happy to share with you the name of that person, Christopher Hoffman," Coles said.
The board resolved to execute an at‑will employment agreement with a term through Jan. 1, 2028 (to align with the two‑year municipal election cycle), and set Hoffman’s start date for Aug. 17 with an on‑dais swearing in at the Aug. 10 meeting. Several supervisors thanked Coles and staff for the process and praised Hoffman’s references and background. The motion to execute the agreement carried 5–0.
