Daggett County votes to add Sanpete County and rename regional coalition

Daggett County commissioners approved a second addendum to an interlocal cooperation agreement that will add Sanpete County to the existing multi-county infrastructure coalition and change the coalition’s name from the 7-County Infrastructure Coalition to the Rural Utah Infrastructure Coalition. The Chair led discussion and commissioners asked no substantive questions before approving the addendum.
The motion passed by vocal aye votes and expands the coalition to eight counties. Commissioners said the name change better reflects the coalition’s rural membership and goals of regional coordination on infrastructure projects.
