Tourism staff briefed the commission on event interest and safety planning for a Gorge jumping attraction tied to Daggett Days. Staff reported 14 signups so far and said they expect a substantial spectator presence even if not all signups choose to participate.
"We've got 14 jumpers so far for Breeze Gorge," said Peggy White, noting that organizers are arranging staggered jump times and coordinating with search and rescue to ensure no more than a safe number go at once. Commissioners discussed possible additional family‑friendly activities and how the event fits in trail and tourism programming.
No formal approvals or funding decisions were made at the meeting; the Chair suggested adding related budget items to a future agenda if commissioners want to support specific event elements.
