Council approves ERP assessment contract to plan citywide systems integration

The City Council authorized the city manager to execute an agreement with Barry Dunn to perform an enterprise resource planning (ERP) assessment and implementation planning engagement, at a base cost of $98,500 plus a 10% contingency (not to exceed $108,350).
Staff said the project will analyze city processes and technology across internal services (finance, HR), utility billing, planning and building inspection and parks/facility rentals to recommend an integrated software architecture or phased implementation. The consultant engagement is designed to produce scope, phasing and cost estimates up to a point where the city can issue RFPs or integrate multiple software modules. Council approved the authorization 6–0.
