The Nebraska Natural Resources Commission on April 29 requested staff to transfer $32,240.25 in revenue from the Resources Development Fund (RDF) into the Water Sustainability Fund (WSF) once the funds are received from the Lower Platte North Natural Resources District.
Commissioner Tom Mountford reported the RDF share of revenue from the Lake Wanahoo borrow pit was $6,089.16 and the RDF share of hay sales was $26,151.09, for a combined total of $32,240.25. Commission staff advised the transfer could be authorized under Neb. Rev. Stat. § 2-1588. Commissioner Christopher Dierks moved the request; Mountford seconded and the motion passed.
The request directs staff to effect the transfer when payment is received from LPNNRD. No specific spending decision for the transferred funds was made at the meeting; the action only authorized the request for transfer. The Commission recorded the motion and vote in the meeting minutes and will track receipt before transfer.
