At the start of the business agenda, Vice Mayor Hill moved and Councilmember Westbrook seconded approval of the consent agenda, which included minutes, and scheduling first readings and public hearings for several items: a special-use permit application for a stand-alone automobile repair shop at 601 East Whip Street (parcel ID 012270012), amendments to the FY26 grants fund, and amendments to the FY26 utilities and streets fund budgets. The consent agenda also included first reading and scheduling of a public hearing regarding proposed changes to city code sections (106-109 and 106-112) on elderly and disabled tax exemptions.
The council adopted the motion by roll call with all members present voting "Aye" (Council members Cuthbert, Jones, Myers, Westbrook, Smith Lee, Vice Mayor Hill, and Mayor Perrin). No abstentions or recusals were recorded.
The items on the consent agenda will proceed to the scheduled public hearings and the first-reading process as listed on the council calendar.
