Council refers home-arrest conduct and a possible city dog-catcher position to committees

Councilor Lowe asked the council to place on the Safety Service Committee agenda a review of proper conduct and follow-up procedures for home arrests. The council seconded and approved the referral by voice vote.
Lowe also proposed that the Neighborhood Concerns Committee explore creating a municipal dog-catcher position to address repeated complaints about loose dogs and yard hazards. Council seconded and approved that referral as well. Both referrals were recorded as committee assignments; councilors said committees should evaluate procedures and consider possible changes.
