Resident urges council to help promote April 11 "Bridging the Gap" health fair

Cheryl Nagy, a constituent from the 4th Ward, told the council the community-oriented "Bridging the Gap" health and wellness fair will be held Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lima Senior and is free to the public.
"We have tons of health information," Nagy said, noting the event will include health screenings, family activities and participation from both local hospitals and Allen County Public Health. She said more than 40 area community agencies plan to take part and asked the council to help promote the fair to residents who may lack ready access to care.
Organizers said the fair will include screening services for children and information aimed at adults and seniors. Nagy also noted plans for a food truck and family-friendly activities and asked council members to spread the word so residents learn about local health resources.
