The Nevada State Board of Athletic Trainers on Dec. 18 approved Dry Needling Application #120 (Bozart‑Dow) after the applicant submitted a certificate documenting 27 hours of in‑person dry needling training covering the entire body. Board Executive Secretary Michelle Cothrun told members that the application had been previously reviewed and that the additional in‑person training satisfied the outstanding requirement.
Board Chair Kendell Galor moved to approve the application and authorize the applicant to perform dry needling in Nevada; Board Member Ariel Ives seconded, and the motion passed. Michelle Cothrun said the Dry Needling Subcommittee had reviewed the new documentation and recommended approval. The minutes of the meeting are subject to approval at the next scheduled board meeting.
