The Planning Commission recommended approval of the George School campus conceptual master plan, a multiyear framework for improvements at the campus located at 1690 Langhorne Newtown Road. The plan includes multiple phased projects, retains previously listed projects and adds an indoor equestrian center now prioritized as phase 2.
Ed (speaker 6) explained the master plan provides the school with a 20‑year framework to guide projects and to give donor partners confidence that specific phases will be considered for approval, while making clear that detailed engineered plans will still be required for each phase. “None of them are intended to increase the census of the school…They’re done really to enhance the educational experience for the existing students,” Ed said.
Township staff and the solicitor said the companion agreement locks in the terms discussed and that each phase will be reviewed for ordinance compliance. Chair moved for a recommendation of approval conditioned on the master plan approval agreement being satisfactory to the township solicitor; the motion passed by voice vote.
