Civil Air Patrol cadets ask Prosper to consider emergency services partnership

Two Civil Air Patrol cadets and their squadron commander outlined CAP's volunteer emergency services, cadet development programs and aerospace education during citizens comments. Cadet 1st Lieutenant Daksha Gautam said CAP provides air and ground crews trained for search and disaster response and asked for a future agenda slot to present an emergency services plan.
Captain Jim Reeves introduced the cadets as part of a civics engagement committee visit and welcomed the opportunity for the squadron to assist Prosper. "We provide 90% of emergency services that are directed by the Air Force to this entire nation," Daksha Gautam said. Cadet Paul Smithsworn described training benefits and outreach to local schools.
