"This property on Airport Avenue, South Of Graber includes mature trees, ample space for designated large and small dog area, and room for walking trails," staff (Rico) said, and noted the parcel was acquired for a CDBG flood and drainage mitigation project and includes a planned detention pond for Dry Creek.
Staff recommended completing the detention pond before building park facilities and asked whether council wants staff to pursue parkland designation to make certain funding sources available. Council members asked about maintenance needs and the timing of the detention-pond work; staff replied construction on the pond is ongoing and that park-related work would follow later in the year.
