Parent asks Rockwall ISD for formal investigation of abrupt in‑class teacher removal

Elizabeth Lee Lashley, a parent of two Amy Parks Elementary students and member of the school's PTO, used the public comment period to describe what she said was a disruptive in‑school dismissal of her child's teacher and to request a formal investigation. "This individual was removed in the middle of school, in the middle of the day and in the middle of the class with no communication to parents," Lashley said, adding that students and teachers received no direction and that follow‑up took weeks.
Lashley said the incident fits a five‑year pattern she has documented and cited prior mishandling of serious incidents at the campus. She also raised campus‑leadership accountability concerns and raised safety and privacy worries about a mobile app in school use that she said allows students to share photos directly with friends. Lashley asked the board to direct an inquiry into how the recent dismissal was handled; the board acknowledged her comments during the public comment period but did not take public action on the request during the meeting.
