Resident urges clearer signage and enforcement at Frontier Park lacrosse walls

Aaron Pennington, a Prosper resident who addressed the board during citizen comments, said teams and private instructors are using the town's two lacrosse walls at Frontier Park for long blocks of time, leaving kids unable to use the feature. "Some people are using the space for private lessons... forcing kids out of the space," Pennington said, asking staff to post clearer signage and consider rules such as "open play only" or "no private lessons."
Parks director Dan Becker told the board staff would inspect the existing signs (several of which are sun-bleached) and refresh them if necessary, and evaluate scheduling or reservation options. "We'll take a look at, any scheduling or ordinances that we have in place and do the best to sign it to help," Becker said. Board members asked staff to return with a follow-up report and possible language for park signs that could be posted and enforced under the town's park rules.
