Mr. Carter said the proposed turnkey installation includes a five-year parts warranty and allows the district greater flexibility to rotate digital advertisements. "Right now, they bring in a little over $100,000 at least per year," Carter said of the sports-marketing program, and he suggested a digital board could increase that revenue over the board’s expected useful life. Trustees voted to approve the recommendation to solicit quotes and proceed under cooperative purchasing policy CH Local.
Mr. Carter said the vendor estimated completion by early August if a purchase order is issued promptly; trustees discussed the projected payback and approved the motion in open session.
