The Rosenberg City Council approved resolution R4024 to move forward with professional engineering services for rehabilitation of sewer collection lines serving Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2. Staff presented Kaluza, Inc. as the recommended firm with a proposal of $125,700.
A staff presenter said the project will continue the city’s program to replace aging sanitary sewer collection lines and ensure compliance with environmental quality regulations. "Kaluza submitted a proposal in a total amount of 125,700 for this project," the staff member said, and noted the work is included in the FY2026 capital improvement plan and budget.
Council asked whether the work would use CIPP relining or open‑cut methods in certain areas; staff replied some locations will be resleeved while others, particularly west of FM 36, will require open cutting. Staff also described planned pipe sizes, saying the project will include a mixture of 6‑, 8‑ and 10‑inch lines depending on location.
After questions from council, a motion to approve the resolution passed by voice vote.
