Resident asks council for explanation of stormwater fee increase

At the start of the meeting resident Maynard Little of 1004 St. Mark Drive used the public‑comment period to ask council members why they voted to raise the stormwater fee and to request meetings to review the data and rationale behind the decision.
"I'm asking each of you to explain why you voted to increase the stormwater fee and create yet another financial burden for all rate payers," Little said. He said he had sent follow‑up emails and that only one council member had responded; he requested the council meet with him to provide the data and logic used to approve the increase.
The presiding official said a response would be included in the mayor's report that evening and staff later noted efforts to make presentation documents available online to improve transparency. Little's request for meetings with each council member remained a matter for staff and individual councilors to schedule.
