Maynard Little of 1004 St. Mark Drive used the public-comment period to press the council for data and meetings on the stormwater fee increase, saying most council members have not responded to his requests. Little detailed discrepancies he found in city documents obtained through an open-records request. He said the FY25 budget listed $160,000 for drainage improvements while actual expenditures for FY23 and FY24 were $13,930 and $14,205 respectively, and he said the FY25 net total spent for drainage improvements is stated to be $5,259.54. He also questioned a TMRS line (noting a budgeted amount of $26,691 covering two employees versus an actual FY25 amount of $67,674.38 covering six employees) and said the fee schedule was changed "in a meeting that was not open to the public."
Council did not offer a detailed response during public comment; the presiding officer thanked the speaker and moved on to the next agenda item.
