Missouri City council appoints four members to parks board

Council appointed four people to the Parks Board during the March 2 meeting. Councilmember Thompson moved to appoint Pam Andrews to position 3, Diane Gitner to position 7, Lawrence Turner to position 9 and Bruce Watson to position 5; Councilmember Riley seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The appointments followed a brief procedural motion to move the parks-board item to after executive session and a roll call. No member registered opposition when the appointments were called for a vote. Council indicated the appointments would serve through terms indicated on the agenda and that staff would complete the onboarding process.
