Nevada Radiation Control reports stolen portable gauge recovered by local agencies

The Nevada Radiation Control Program reported that a stolen portable gauge reported Oct. 16 was recovered Oct. 28 with assistance from the Reno Fire Department, Carson City and the State Highway Patrol, and returned to the licensee.
Corey Creveling of the Nevada Radiation Control Program told the Commission that a licensee reported a stolen portable gauge on Oct. 16 and that the device was recovered Oct. 28 thanks to coordinated efforts.
"On the good side, on the 28th of October, thanks to the effort of Reno Fire Department John Bacatal on Carson City and the State Highway Patrol police, we were able to recover that gauge and give it back to the licensee," Creveling said. He reported no further incidents during the quarter.
