The council passed two final-action ordinances affecting utility governance and collection procedures. Ordinance 3,272 repealed and replaced Chapter 13.02 of the North Las Vegas Municipal Code to change Utility Advisory Board composition, officer election frequency and meeting requirements; Ordinance 3,274 amended the process for sending delinquent utility service charges to the Clark County treasurer for tax roll collection.
City staff introduced the ordinances and council members moved to approve both measures; each passed on a voice vote. The changes take effect according to the ordinances’ effective dates and city staff will proceed with implementing any administrative updates to board procedures and collection workflows.
