On May 26 the Lodi Village Council declared a first reading of a resolution to proceed with submission of the question to renew the village’s three (3) mill tax levy in excess of the ten-mill limitation for five years. The resolution is to be placed on the ballot at the Nov. 3, 2026 general election and the minutes cite Sections 5705.03, 5705.19(A), 5705.191, 5705.25 and 5705.26 of the Ohio Revised Code.
The motion to declare the first reading was made by Miller and seconded by Ridenour; the roll call showed unanimous YEAS. No ballot language, revenue estimates, or timing for a campaign or informational outreach was recorded in the minutes; the action at this meeting was procedural to initiate the submission process to the county election officials.
