THDA approves NHTF extensions for Espero Chattanooga and Redbud Village projects

THDA approved two National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) extension requests: a second extension for the AIM Center's Espero Chattanooga development and a first extension/reservation of funds for Highlands Residential Services' Redbud Village.
Don Watt, THDA Chief Programs Officer, presented the requests. Anna Protana-Biggs, president and CEO of the AIM Center, reported Espero Chattanooga is 65% complete and construction should finish within six months; the Board approved the second extension on a motion by Treasurer David Lillard with a second by Dan Springer. The Board also approved the first extension and reservation of funds for the Redbud Village, a 20‑unit project in Cookeville, on a motion by Treasurer Lillard and second by Micheal Miller.
