Board approves Rockwall ISD 2026–27 student code of conduct

The board voted to approve the Rockwall ISD Student Code of Conduct for the 2026–27 school year. A district representative told trustees that as this is not a legislative year there are no significant changes from last year’s code: "Each year, the board is required to approve the student code of conduct under board policy FO Local," the representative said and recommended approval.
Trustees asked a clarification question about statutory references (Texas Education Code section 37) and staff confirmed the reference is appropriate. A trustee made a motion to approve, another trustee seconded, and the board voted to adopt the code for 2026–27.
