Rockwall ISD honors state pole-vaulter Brooklyn Nally

The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees recognized Brooklyn Nally of Rockwall Heath High School for her performance at the state track and field meet. Board presenter Dr. Phil Veil said Nally ‘‘earned a 2nd place finish in the girls class 6A pole vault clearing an impressive height of 13 feet 0 inches.’’
Board members congratulated Nally and her coach, Kyla Hammond, and noted she has signed with Baylor University, where she will continue her track career. The recognition was presented during the meeting’s opening recognitions; trustees offered brief remarks and applause before moving on to the business portion of the agenda.
