Commissioners expressed support for the concept but asked staff to examine legal issues, potential wear and tear on facilities, compensation (percentage of revenue or flat rent), and whether the county needs an RFQ or bidding process. Commissioner Galana suggested a facilities committee review and possibly draft an RFQ so the county can evaluate options and present a formal proposal to the court.
The court took no formal action but directed staff and the facilities committee to pursue legal review and a possible RFQ or RFQ draft to bring back to a future court session.
